ABOUT

The Geographical Sciences Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences was established in 1952, it operates at the III Department of Exact Sciences and Earth Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and its scope of activity covers the entirety of geography, including physical, socio-economic, regional geography and geoinformation. The Committee on Geographical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences represents the Polish geographers community in academic centers and research institutes. The Committee on Geographical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences is affiliated with and cooperates with the International Geographical Union (MUG / IGU), which is the most important global organizational and scientific forum for geographers. Polish geographers participate in the work of the MUG problem committees.
